Suspect Busted After Failed Murder Attempt At Baltimore Convenience Store

An accused attempted murderer on the run for over a week was taken into custody by Baltimore police officers overnight.

Anthony Ward is accused of shooting a 34-year-old man on the afternoon of Friday, March 31, according to Baltimore police.

Investigators say that the victim walked into the St. Agnes Hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to the arm around 2 p.m. March 31 after being shot in the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue while walking out of a convenience store.

Detectives gathered surveillance footage which pointed them to Ward, who was detained on Thursday, April 13 around 6:30 a.m.

Ward has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.
